Your official PTE Academic scorecard contains three types of scores: an overall score, four communicative skills scores, and six enabling skills scores — all on a scale of 10–90.
The overall score is what most visa authorities and universities ask for (e.g., 65 overall). However, immigration programmes like Australian PR Skilled Migration often also require a minimum per-section score — meaning your Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening must each meet the requirement, not just your overall.
The enabling skills (Grammar, Oral Fluency, Pronunciation, Spelling, Vocabulary, Written Discourse) are diagnostic — they show your strengths and weaknesses but are not usually required by immigration authorities as standalone scores.
